    The Township of Georgian Bluffs has launched a new 24/7 hotline dedicated to addressing issues related to Short-Term Accommodations (STAs) within the community. This service is set to begin on Friday, May 17 for the upcoming long weekend, aiming to enhance community safety and support good neighbour relationships.

    Owen Sound Council has given the green light to a pilot project fostering collaboration between the City of Owen Sound and the Township of Georgian Bluffs, enabling us to jointly manage Building Services.   • Sidewalk Replacement to Begin in Shallow Lake

    Work to replace the sidewalks on 1st Street, 2nd Street, and Noble Street in Shallow Lake will begin on Monday, April 29, 2024.

    This project, being undertaken by C & G Concrete, is expected to be completed near the end of June, weather dependant. Construction will generally take place from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on weekdays, with some weekend work as required.

  • The FoodCycler Pilot Program is Back! Celebrate Earth Day by Reducing Food Waste

    The successful FoodCycler Pilot Program is back for 2024, with 200 indoor composters now available for purchase.

    In 2023, the Township partnered with Food Cycle Science to offer this innovative indoor composting technology to 100 residents at a discounted rate, testing the utility of FoodCyclers to compost food waste and divert it from landfills. The program saw 27.9 metric tonnes (MT) of food waste diverted and has been extended into 2024.

    The Georgian Bluffs Township Office will be closed for the day on Thursday, March 28th, for staff training and development.

    The office will remain closed for the Easter holiday weekend on Friday, March 29th, and Monday, April 1st. Regular business hours will resume on Tuesday, April 2nd at 9:00 a.m.
