  • Kemble Community Centre to Host Open House for Renovation Project

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs is holding an Open House at the Kemble Community Center (Arena) on Monday, September 26 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. to hear your ideas for the arena renovation project.

    In 2021, the Township received a grant through the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program of $1.2 million to fund upgrades to the Kemble Arena, including improving accessibility and renovating the space to accommodate different recreation activities.

  • Georgian Bluffs Lowers Flags for Passing of Queen Elizabeth II

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs will be lowering all flags to half mast following the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

    Flags located at the Township Office, Shallow Lake Cenotaph, Kemble Women’s Institute Lookout and Big Bay will be lowered to honour the passing of the Queen, who has reigned over the United Kingdom and Commonwealth for over 70 years.

  • Township Raises Flag for Truth and Reconciliation

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs is flying the Every Child Matters Flag for the month of September in recognition of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation on September 30, 2022.

    The Flag will be raised at the Shallow Lake Arena and the Kemble Women’s Institute lookout on Grey Road 1.

  • Stanley Cup Stops at Shallow Lake Arena

    The Stanley Cup made a stop at the Shallow Lake Arena on the morning of Monday, August 29 to visit the Shallow Lake Minor Hockey Association on it’s way to Sauble Beach.

    Colorado Avalanche defenseman, Stanley Cup Champion, and former Shallow Lake Laker Kurtis MacDermid invited members of the Shallow Lake Minor Hockey Association to pose for photos with the Stanley Cup at the Arena before it moved on to Sauble for a parade in the afternoon.

    The due date for the third installment of the 2022 Tax Bill is approaching on August 24, 2022. Remember, there are many ways to pay your tax bill.

    Drop Box: Cheques may be dropped in the afterhours drop box located at the front door of the Township office. Please include the detachable portion of your bill in a sealed envelope.

  • Georgian Bluffs Mourns Passing of Former MPP Bill Murdoch

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs offers condolences following the passing of Former MPP Bill Murdoch.

    “On behalf of Georgian Bluffs Council, staff, and the community I offer sincere condolences to Mr. Murdoch’s family, friends and loved ones during this difficult time,” said Mayor Dwight Burley.

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs is once again looking for photos of scenic views and year-round fun for the 2023 Community Calendar!

    Residents and visitors are invited to share their favourite photos of the community to be featured in the annual calendar.

  • Canada Day Pancake Breakfast

    The Township of Georgian Bluffs will be hosting a Canada Day celebration at the Big Bay Dock commencing at 9:00 a.m. on July 1, 2022.

    This event is open to the public! A pancake and bacon breakfast will be served until 10:30 a.m.
