    Georgian Bluffs Launches Short-Term Rental Licensing Program

    Georgian Bluffs is introducing a new Short-Term Rental Accommodation (STRA) Licensing Program, with an online licensing portal now open for applications.

    Developed through extensive consultation with STRA operators, local businesses, and the community, this program establishes clear guidelines and requirements for short-term rental operators, ensuring responsible management and a balanced approach to short-term accommodations in the Township.

    The Significant Weather Event issued on Monday, January 27 has now been lifted, and all closed roads have been reopened.

    Our plow operators continue working hard to manage the impacts of winter weather following more overnight snowfall and continued strong winds. While route completion was slightly slower due to the past few days of heavy accumulation, all routes were completed.

    Represent Georgian Bluffs at the Multi-Municipal Energy Working Group

    Georgian Bluffs invites residents to bring their voices and perspectives to the Multi-Municipal Energy Working Group (MMEWG). Council is seeking applications from engaged community members to fill one (1) vacancy on this collaborative initiative.

  • Weather Update: Waste Recollection Notice
    Notice: Waste Recollection from Monday to Take Place Saturday, February 1

    Due to the significant snowfall and blowing snow on Monday, January 27, waste collection on the following roads was missed. A make-up collection will take place on Saturday, February 1. Please ensure all waste and recycling is placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on Saturday, and to keep bins clear of snowbanks and roadways to ensure efficient collection.

  • Notice: Georgian Bluffs Office Closure and Waste Collection Delays – January 27, 2025

    Due to forecasted weather conditions, the Georgian Bluffs Administration Office will close at 1:00 p.m. today, Monday, January 27. Waste collection is also delayed and may not be completed as scheduled. Trucks will continue operating as long as conditions allow. All Arenas and Community Centres are also closed.
