Refreshment Vehicles

Interested in operating a food truck or refreshment stand in Georgian Bluffs? Find out the requirements for licensing, operating locations, and how to apply for a permit to operate on Township property.


Applications for the 2025 season will open April 2025. Additional information will be made available on this webpage at that time. 

All refreshment vehicles must have an annual licence to operate in the Township, whether it is on Township property or private property (with the landowner's permission). For the full requirements, see the Refreshment Vehicle Licensing By-law and Application.

The fees are $500 per year for motorized vehicles and $300.00 per year for non-motorized vehicles. 

Refreshment Vehicles may apply to park motorized and non-motorized vehicles on approved Township lands, from May 1st to October 31st each year. 

Preferred locations include:

  • Big Bay Beach Area
  • Balmy Beach Baseball Park
  • Sarawak Family Park
  • Shallow Lake Community Centre
  • Derby Community Centre
  • Kemble Community Centre
  • Township Administration Offices

The fee is $500 per season (May 1st - October 31st).

Upon receipt of your application, the Clerks Department will review the application, and prepare a lease agreement for signing of the business owner.

  • Refreshment Vehicles are permitted in all zones throughout the Township, except residential zones.
  • Refreshment Vehicles may park on private property, in permitted zones, with written consent of the property owner.
  • Refreshment Vehicles may also lease use of Township property on a seasonal bases from May 1st to October 31st.
  • Refreshment Vehicles may operate on a schedule of their choosing, with permission of property owners.
