Winter Sparkle & Skate Event Shines Bright in Georgian Bluffs

Get ready to kick off the festive season with a Winter Sparkle & Skate event in the heart of Georgian Bluffs! On Friday, December 1st, from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, the Township of Georgian Bluffs is set to illuminate the village with holiday cheer at the Shallow Lake Community Centre.

Join us as we light up not just one, but two majestic trees, creating a spectacle of lights that will brighten the area outside the arena building. The delightful holiday lights display will be lit up at 6:45 p.m., ushering in the spirit of the season.

Adding to the atmosphere, students from the Keppel-Sarawak Choir will be joining us for some seasonal singing, and the Shallow Lake Jr Hockey team will be on hand at the concession stand, serving up refreshments to support the local skating club. Families are also invited to lace up their skates and glide onto the arena ice for a FREE family skate session starting at 7:00 p.m.

And that’s not all - rumor has it that the jolly old man himself, the one and only Santa Claus, will be making a special appearance! Come join us for photos with Santa from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm at the arena.

To help get your holiday shopping started, local vendors will also be on site with a showcase of their products.

New and unwrapped toy donations will be collected for the Inter-Township Fire Department’s annual toy drive. This is a great opportunity for the community to come together and support those in need during this festive season.
