Take the Carbon Footprint Challenge: Help Plant Trees and Save the Planet!

carbon emissions chart

Earth Day is coming up on April 22, and what better way to celebrate than by taking the Carbon Footprint Challenge? This online survey is an easy way to find out your carbon footprint, and get tips to reduce it. Plus, for every 5 Georgian Bluffs households that complete the survey, the Township will plant a tree in a park or green space!

Climate change is a serious issue, and it can be overwhelming to figure out how you can make a difference. That's where the Carbon Footprint Challenge comes in; by taking the survey, you'll get a personalized report on your carbon footprint, and learn about ways to reduce it. You might be surprised how much of an impact you can have just by making small changes in your daily life.

But the benefits don't stop there. For every 5 households that complete the survey, Georgian Bluffs will plant a tree. With 66 households signed up so far, we’re hoping to reach 100 participants by Earth Day and plant 20 native trees this fall! Trees are essential to our planet, as they help absorb carbon dioxide and provide us with oxygen. By planting more trees, we can help fight climate change and create a healthier, more beautiful planet for ourselves and future generations.

So, what are you waiting for? Join in with #GBGoesGreen and take the Carbon Footprint Challenge before earth day on April 22. Spread the word to your friends and family, and help save the planet. Together, we can make a difference. For more information, visit www.georgianbluffs.ca/gogreen
