Notice: Temporary Closure of Keppel Sarawak Townline Bridge for Repairs

Georgian Bluffs is advising residents of the temporary closure of the Keppel Sarawak Townline Bridge (Structure S-005) due to necessary structural repairs.

A structural load evaluation conducted by Pearson Engineering Ltd. identified significant deterioration of the bridge deck and guiderails. As a result, Council reviewed multiple options, and has approved a short-term rehabilitation plan which includes deck and guiderail repairs, installation of trailside access gates, and improved signage.

To ensure public safety, the bridge will be closed to all vehicular and pedestrian traffic effective as of March 31, 2025, until repairs are completed.
