New Columbarium Installed at Mount Pleasant Cemetery

Georgian Bluffs is pleased to announce the installation of a second columbarium at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, adding more eternal resting spaces to this scenic and peaceful setting.

Located on Grey Rd 17A, Mount Pleasant Cemetery offers serene water views of Georgian Bay, and vibrant daffodils that bloom across the grounds each spring, adding to its unique character. The addition of this new columbarium provides families with an elegant alternative to traditional inground cremation interments. The first columbarium, installed in 2019, has already reached full capacity.

The new unit, a 48-niche columbarium, is crafted entirely from Canadian-sourced granite quarried and manufactured in Ontario. Each niche can accommodate two cremation urns, offering a durable and refined option for families wishing to memorialize their loved ones.

The Township extends its gratitude to Nelson Granite Ltd., Harris Transport Ltd., and Vanwyck Crane Service for their expertise and support in the delivery and installation of this columbarium.
