Kick off Canada Day with Pancakes at Big Bay (1)

Canada Day Pancake Breakfast at Big Bay

What better way to kickstart your Canada Day festivities than with a delicious pancake breakfast at one of the most scenic spots around? You are invited to join the Township of Georgian Bluffs at the Big Bay dock on the morning of July 1st for a pancake breakfast and flag raising to start your Canada Day off right!

The day begins at 9:00 a.m. with a rousing rendition of O Canada as the Canadian Flag goes up over the pier, followed by a stack of fluffy pancakes while taking in the breathtaking views of the bay. Savor every bite as you fuel up for an action-packed day of fun!

As you plan the rest of your Canada Day, why not discover the wonders of your own backyard of parks, trails, and lookouts, all just waiting to be explored? Spend the day enjoying the awe-inspiring beauty of the Georgian Bluffs landscape, and visiting favourite local stops like the Big Bay General Store for ice cream, Keppel Croft Gardens for a tour, Ajijaak Indigenous Art Project for a moment of reflection, or the Kemble Women’s Institute Lookout for one of the best views in the region. From hiking, to kayaking, to a picnic on the shore, there are so many ways to enjoy all Georgian Bluffs has to offer.

Looking for live music? Head over to Cobble Beach for the Brown’s Time Machine and the River Rock Band on the patio in the afternoon, followed by Bored of Education on the wedding green. At 9:00 p.m. a bagpiper will close out the day with a rendition of O Canada, followed by a Fireworks Show at the Cobble Beach shoreline that all are welcome to attend and enjoy.

Bring your friends, family, and neighbors for a day filled with fun and community spirit! Let's come together and celebrate what makes our home such a great place to live.
