Holiday Hours and Waste Pickup Schedule

As the end of the year approaches, Georgian Bluffs would like to provide information about holiday office hours, changes to the waste pickup schedule, and special facility hours for skating and pickleball.

Office Hours

The Georgian Bluffs Township offices will be closed from noon on Tuesday, December 24, 2024, until Wednesday, January 1, 2025. During this time, please make use of our online services at www.georgianbluffs.ca for any inquiries. Regular business hours will resume on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 9 a.m.

Waste Pickup Adjustments

To accommodate the holiday season, the following changes have been made to the waste pickup schedule:

·        Wednesday, December 25, 2024 collection will take place on Saturday, December 28, 2024.

·        Wednesday, January 1, 2025 collection will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025.

Please ensure waste is ready for pickup by 7:00 a.m. on these adjusted dates. Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring efficient collection during the holiday season.

Holiday Skating

Georgian Bluffs is pleased to offer free Holiday Public Skating thanks to our generous sponsors. Regular drop-in public skating will also take place on Sundays – December 22, December 29, and January 5.

• December 23: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. sponsored by Shallow Lake Oldtimers.
• December 24: 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. sponsored by Benmet Steel.
• December 27: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. sponsored by Hutton & Co. Land and Shore.
• December 30: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. sponsored by Shallow Lake Oldtimers.
• December 31: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. sponsored by Barry’s Construction.
• January 2: 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. sponsored by Hepworth Baptist Church.

Please also note that Drop-in Pickleball has been cancelled on December 26 at the Kilsyth Arena, and December 27th at the Kemble Arena. For a full list of activities, see the Community Calendar.
