All Township Facilities Closed

UPDATE: February 18, 2025 at 11:45 a.m.

With road closures in place across the region and staff unable to travel safely, Georgian Bluffs will be closing the Administrative Office and all facilities, including the Kemble, Kilsyth, and Shallow Lake arenas, for the remainder of the day. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are advising against all non-essential travel due to hazardous road conditions, blowing snow, and low visibility.

We strongly encourage residents to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Stuck or abandoned vehicles create major delays in snow-clearing operations, making conditions more hazardous for vehicles. Please do not venture out if you don’t have to.

All Georgian Bluffs facilities remain closed today, Tuesday February 18th until at least 12pm. Significant snowfall and drifting across the region has lead to multiple road closures. Operations teams are out plowing and reopening Township roads, as are County and neighboring municipal teams. 

We will be reassessing this morning to see if we are able to safely reopen facilities this afternoon. 

This closure includes:

• The Township Administration Office on Grey Road 18
• Kemble Arena/Community Centre
• Kilsyth Arena/Community Centre - Drop in Pickleball is cancelled today
• Shallow Lake Arena and Community Centre - Parent and Tot skating is cancelled; check back later for Adult Skating
