Community Engagement Day with Georgian Bluffs: Shape Your Community’s Future

Group of people at event

The Township invites all residents of Georgian Bluffs to our upcoming event, Engage GB: Connect and Collaborate, where your voice and experiences can directly influence the decisions that shape our vibrant community. The event will take place at Grey Roots Museum on August 24, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Designed to foster open dialogue and collaboration, the Community Engagement Day will focus on several important topics that directly impact the Township and our residents. We encourage you to join us and participate in discussions on the following topics:

1. Short Term Accommodations
2. The Corporate Climate Action Plan
3. Georgian Bluff’s 2024 Budget
4. The Official Plan
5. The Multi-Year Accessibility Plan

Each topic will be explored in 30-minute facilitated discussion sessions. Each session will be repeated multiple times through the event to allow community members to have input on as many, or as few topics as they like. Resident input into these topics will be incorporated as staff continue their work in these areas. There will also be light refreshments available.

"Engage GB: Connect and Collaborate is a new event for the Township and we hope offers another way residents can connect with us and share their views, shaping the actions of tomorrow. Your voices and experiences matter, and together, we can build a vibrant community that we are all proud to call home,” says Niall Lobley, Acting CAO and Director of Community & Environmental Services.

If you are unable to attend the event in person, please visit www.engageGB.ca, where an online engagement space for each topic of discussion is available for input. You can also find hard copies of surveys and comment cards at the Township office, and all three Community Centres.

Mark your calendars and join us at Grey Roots Museum, located at 102599 Grey Rd 18, Owen Sound, on August 24th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. for this collaborative community event, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
