2025 Budget Finalized with Focus on Community Investment and Essential Services

Georgian Bluffs Council has approved the 2025 budget, with strategic investments in the infrastructure, community facilities, and essential services that matter most. With a municipal tax rate increase of 4.11%, the average single-family dwelling assessed at $300,000 is looking at an annual municipal tax increase of $83.78.

The total Tax Levy for 2025 amounts to $13.7 million in community investment. The budget includes the Township’s service partners such as the Ontario Provincial Police, Grey Sauble Conservation Authority, and the Owen Sound and North Grey Union Public Library. It also reflects the Township’s focus on infrastructure and services that enhance the community, including significant investments in 2025 in the hard top surface program, bridge rehabilitation, sidewalks, and parks and facilities.

“Our priority is delivering high-quality services while continuing to invest in the future of Georgian Bluffs,” said Mayor Sue Carleton. “This budget reflects the values of our community, ensuring progress towards our vision and investment in areas that matter most.”

Building the 2025 Budget was a collaborative effort between Council, staff, and the community. We would like to thank everyone who attended a budget session or completed the budget survey to provide their feedback.
