Civic Addressing

The property addressing system in Georgian Bluffs ensures that every property has a unique 911 address for emergency response and public services.

To request a new civic address:

  1. Complete the Form: Submit a Civic 911 Address Request Form.
  2. Pay the Fee: Contact the municipal office for the current fee.
  3. Wait for Approval: Township staff will review your application and assign your address.

Entrance Permits

An entrance permit is required for:

  • New driveways or access points.
  • Changes to the design, location, or use of an existing entrance.
  • Temporary or off-road parking access.
  • Paving an existing driveway.

For entrances on County or Provincial roads, please contact the relevant road authority.

How to Apply for an Entrance Permit:

  1. Submit the Completed Form: Submit an Entrance Permit Application and include payment of the applicable fee.
  2. Inspection: The Township will inspect and approve the entrance upon completion.

Permits are valid for three years, and work must start within one year. Any refunds will be issued to the original payer after the final inspection.


Right of Way Occupancy Permits

If you plan to occupy or perform work on any Township-owned right of way, you must obtain a Right of Way Occupancy Permit from the Operations Department before starting your project. This permit helps ensure that all activities meet safety standards and protect public infrastructure.

How to Apply

  1. Complete the Application Form:
    Download the Right of Way Occupancy Permit Application Form.
  2. Prepare Supporting Documents:
    Include a Certificate of Insurance naming the Township of Georgian Bluffs as additionally insured for at least $2,000,000 in liability coverage.
  3. Submit Your Application:
    Submit the form and supporting documents to the Operations Department at least 10 business days before the planned start of work to operations@georgianbluffs.ca.

Fee

  • $250.00 + HST per permit application.
