Keppel Sarawak Townline Bridge Rehabilitation

The Keppel Sarawak Townline Bridge (Structure S-005) is undergoing rehabilitation following a structural load evaluation by Pearson Engineering Ltd. The study identified significant deterioration in the bridge deck and guiderails, necessitating immediate closure until repairs can be completed.

In March 2025, Township Council reviewed several options, including permanent closure, full removal, or rehabilitation. The decision was made to proceed with a short-term rehabilitation plan that will extend the service life of the bridge while maintaining safe access.
