Significant Weather Event Ended

The Significant Weather Event has ended, and all roads have now been reopened.

Crews will continue widening roads and improving sightlines over the next several days.

Waste Collection Reminder: A make-up collection will take place Saturday, February 1, 2025 for:

  • Roads missed on Monday due to snow – See the full list here
  • Roads missed Wednesday:
    • Cavell Sideroad
    • Concession 14 (dead end off Church Sideroad)

Missed Waste Collection Update

Waste collection missed on Monday, January 27, due to the weather will be completed on Saturday, February 1.

Please ensure bins are placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. and are visible and clear of snowbanks or obstructions.

Significant Weather Event Declared

The Township of Georgian Bluffs has declared a significant weather event due to forecasted and/or observed weather conditions. The declaration is to notify the public that due to the current or forecasted conditions, caution is to be observed when travelling on roads maintained by the Township of Georgian Bluffs, and that it may take longer than usual to bring the condition of the roads back to a state of repair.

Please use caution and allow yourself extra time to reach your destination. The significant weather event remains in effect until the event is declared to be over.

At the start of each Council term, the Township of Georgian Bluffs Council will select Committee and Board members for appointment to Committees and Boards, or will recruit when a position becomes available throughout the term.

The Township of Georgian Bluffs is looking for passionate community members to represent our municipality on the Multi-Municipal Energy Working Group (MMEWG). This is your chance to make a difference by addressing shared energy challenges alongside representatives from across Grey-Bruce.

About the Opportunity

As a member of the MMEWG, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with others to improve energy generation and storage.
  • Gain experience in municipal advocacy.
  • Help shape the energy future of our region.

Who Can Apply?

We’re looking for individuals who:

  • Live in or own property in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
  • Have internet access to attend virtual meetings.

Meeting Details

Meetings are held every two months on the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m. via Microsoft Teams.
